OHSAS 18001
OHSAS 18001 is the globally recognised framework for occupational health and safety management systems. It has been superseded by ISO 45001: 2018, however it will still be recognized until the end of the migration period (March 2021) and you can migrate at any point within the deadline. In the meantime, Madrevert will continue to provide accredited OHSAS 18001 certification, including new applications.
ISO 45001 draws on OHSAS 18001, so if you are already certified to OHSAS 18001, the migration process should be straightforward.

ISO 45001 roll out
Organisations certified to OHSAS 18001: 2007 have until March 2021 to migrate to the new standard ISO 45001:2018. From this date, OHSAS 18001: 2007 will be considered ‘Withdrawn’.
The path to ISO 45001:2018
In the first instance, speak to our Auva team who will advise you on making the necessary arrangements to migrate to the new standard ensuring you maintain the validity of your OHSAS certification. OHSAS 18001 will still be recognised until the end of the migration period and you can migrate at any point within the deadline – so this could be at a reassessment or surveillence visit, just let our team know when you want to start.
